The facial structure is off from what we normally see of Starfire's features in canon works; she has African features instead of more European ones like in canon works.

But I appreciate the detail in her design and the texturing, well done overall!

By the by, I'm gathering different people's art advice, how do you make the base color of a character match up with the environment?

not entirely sure what you mean, but generally i draw in the char and then work on the bg, but overall when i want the environment to work with the over all image before color (which is composition) i make a overall sketch layout and then ink the son of a bitch

but if youre just talking about how the colors are working with eachother you mainly have to study or learn how color theory works as well as light theory and find your balance vs trying to be someone else (even tho i based my shit on sunibee forever and a day)
